AnxietyIt’s normal to feel anxious about many things in life, eg. moving to a new place, starting a new job, etc. Although unpleasant, it's part of life, and in many cases it can motivate us. Ordinary anxiety is a feeling that comes and goes, but should not interfere with your everyday life. When extreme, the feeling of fear may be with you more than is healthy. This is when it's time to seek help.
PTSDAcute stress disorder occurs in reaction to a traumatic event, just as PTSD does, and the symptoms are similar. However, the symptoms occur between three days and one month after the event. People with acute stress disorder may relive the trauma, have flashbacks or nightmares and may feel numb or detached from themselves. These symptoms cause major distress and problems in their daily lives. About half of people with acute stress disorder go on to have PTSD.

DepressionAnxiety can also lead to depression, or may be accompanying it. While both anxiety and depression can occur separately, it’s not unusual for these conditions to happen together.
Symptoms of both conditions can be managed with many of the same treatments: psychotherapy (counseling), medications, and lifestyle changes. My personal belief is that therapy should be the first port of call before medication, although in some cases, medication may be necessary. RelationshipMarriage counseling or couples therapy, is designed to help couples recognise and resolve conflicts. Through counseling, couples can make thoughtful decisions about rebuilding and/or strengthening their relationship or going their separate ways. This is is often short term counselling and typically includes both partners, but sometimes one partner chooses to work with the therapist alone. The specific treatment plan depends on the situation. |
Whatever The Issue
It really doesn't matter where you're from, your gender or age, it's easy for life to get in the way of LIVING.
A safe, non-judgmental place to discuss your concerns and get problems aired out may be all that's needed.
If it's not, there's a multitude of ways to work around things to bring light back from the darkest places.

If it's not, there's a multitude of ways to work around things to bring light back from the darkest places.
For well over 30 years I've been helping to guide many through life's journeys. Sooner or later we all cop a beating that knocks us. On a personal note, life was only just ok for me, then it exploded in ways I could not have imagined. In stumbling through years of PTSD, and severe depression, I decided to study psych, I learned how to live again, and it became my passion to help others by passing on the tools I obtained.
Through various techniques, it's truly amazing how our inner strength is waiting in the backgrounds of our minds with incredible, untapped, and untrained resources waiting for when they're needed. Change is often possible in just minutes and I would be happy to show you how! Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is one of many effective forms of therapy for anxiety, however there's also Neuro Linguistic Psychology (NLP) Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT) Person centered, Mindfulness and the list goes on. However tapping into your inner power is the transformation goal, and this can often be done in minutes, not days, weeks or months! |
